BodyWorks Phase Two, Science World at TELUS World of Science, Vancouver, BC

BodyWorks Phase Two continues Science World’s exploration of the human body by considering these three questions: Where Did I Come From? What’s Inside Me? and What do I Look like? This project presented a number of interesting challenges, from how to effectively present complex information to a wide-ranging audience, to approaching sensitive topics like sex and reproduction. Free-standing wall units create an immersive environment that can be reconfigured as required. Simple interactive experiences are integrated with interpretive panels creating a dimensional collage. This collage approach, coupled with a clear hierarchy of information allows the exhibit to present large amounts of information without overwhelming the audience.
